About Us

Fenelon’s Stillorgan was opened in November 1966.  It was part of a very unique project at that time, in that it was located in Ireland’s very first shopping centre.

Then, in 1966, your local butcher was just that, your local butcher which was probably isolated, but here your local butcher was part of a very busy shopping centre.  People at the time commented that it was akin to having a shop on Grafton Street, such was the volume of people going up and down the malls then.

Over the years, Fenelon’s Butchers continued to evolve and be continuously progressive, which included taking over a fishmongers which was adjacent to Fenelon’s.  This helped to increase the product range on offer to the growing number of customers shopping in Stillorgan.  As well as being able to offer the best possible fresh meats available, Fenelon’s could now offer a wide range of fresh fish and game.

Over the years Fenelon’s has continuously re-invented ourselves to keep up with the changing shopping community. In 1996 we at Fenelon’s probably saw our biggest renovation to date. That year saw Fenelon’s move to our current premises.  This move gave us an opportunity to re-define how we presented our products to our customers.

Here at Fenelon’s we will go to extraordinary lengths to source the finest quality meats, poultry, fish and game from the best producers available.  Our professional staff have a combined total of over 200 years butchering and retail experience.  They take great pleasure and pride in being able to serve and to pass on this knowledge to all our valued customers.  We continuously strive to upgrade and modernise our premises, keeping in line with current trends and adhering to health and safety requirements.
